Straight Wig Length Guide: Comparing 10 to 20 Inches

October 19, 2026

Choosing a straight wig length is easier when you compare two options with a clear purpose. Perhaps you want less hair around your shoulders, or enough length for the look in a saved photo. A number on a product selector is useful, but it does not show exactly where the ends will sit on you. This wig length guide explains how to make that comparison without guessing.

Start with the lengths actually listed

The YOOME HAIR straight Vietnamese hair wig currently lists 10, 12, 16, 18 and 20 inches. All five options appear under one product with a 5×5 HD lace closure. There is no 14-inch option in this selector, so do not plan an order around a size that is not listed.

Make a shortlist of two lengths rather than switching through every option without a reference. If you already own a wig whose length you like, note its stated length and texture. Use that as a starting point, then ask how the new product is measured before treating the numbers as directly comparable.

Compare 10 and 12 inches for a shorter look

If your shortlist is 10 versus 12 inches, compare the outline in the photos as well as the ends. Look at how the front pieces frame the face and whether the shape matches the style you want. Avoid calling either length a guaranteed chin-length or shoulder-length cut: your proportions and the position of the wig affect that result.

A useful question for support is: “Can you show the selected length from the front and back, and explain where the measurement starts?” That is more specific than asking whether a length is short. If a photo does not answer your question, ask before paying.

Compare 16, 18 and 20 inches with your routine in mind

For the longer options, choose a reference outfit and think about how you want to wear the hair during an ordinary day. Consider whether you prefer the ends clear of a collar, or want more length visible over a top. These are personal preferences; no single length is automatically the best everyday choice.

If you are deciding between 16 and 18 inches, ask for photos of those exact options rather than comparing a 16-inch straight wig with a different texture. For 18 versus 20 inches, check that you want the additional length and have somewhere suitable to store the wig. Do not assume that a longer option has more density or a different cap.

Use product photos as evidence, not a ruler

On the product page, choose a length to display its matching images. Compare the same type of view where possible: front with front, back with back. A close crop can make it difficult to judge the full outline. A model’s height, head position and clothing can also change your impression of where the ends sit.

Keep hair length separate from cap fit. If the cap measurement is unclear, follow our wig cap measuring guide and confirm the fit with us. Choosing 20 inches instead of 16 does not answer a cap-size question.

Check the selected price and availability

The page shows a price range before a length is selected. Choose your exact option and read the resulting price and availability; the lowest number in a range is not a quote for every length. Recheck the length and quantity before adding it to your bag, then check those details again at checkout.

If the option you want cannot be selected, contact YOOME HAIR for current information. Do not substitute a different length just because it is available unless you are happy with that choice.

Your final two-option check

Write down the two lengths, the matching image you prefer, the selected price and any unanswered fit questions. Choose only after the missing details are confirmed. Our 5×5 closure wig buying guide covers the other specifications, while the care guide helps you prepare for washing and storage.
